Carbon

At Wilson Sustainability, we offer specialised Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and embodied carbon services to help organisations understand and minimise the environmental impact of their projects.

Our LCA services provide valuable insights into resource use, energy consumption, and emissions, enabling our clients to make informed decisions that promote sustainability. We focus on assessing embodied carbon and can work with design teams to review operational and whole life carbon, helping our clients identify reduction strategies.

By partnering with us, our clients can not only get ahead of future environmental regulations but also position yourself as a leader in sustainability.

Life Cycle Assessments

A life cycle assessment is undertaken to assess the whole life carbon of a project. Following the UKGBC framework and the RICS WLCA Professional Standard, Wilson Sustainability undertake accurate assessments, identify opportunities and make recommendations to achieve carbon objectives.

Embodied Carbon for Net Zero

Wilson Sustainability measure and assess embodied carbon to provide a quantifiable carbon result for offsetting and therefore assist in achieving net zero carbon.

LCA 3rd Party Verification

The RICS WLCA Professional Standard recommends all assessments to be verified by a third-party to enhance quality assurance and transparency. Wilson Sustainability is able to provide a full verification service.

LCA & LCC for BREEAM

As both BREEAM assessors and carbon specialists, Wilson Sustainability can produce life cycle assessments (LCA) and life cycle costing (LCC) from the concept stage to provide a cost-effective way to achieve a number of BREEAM credits and meet the mandatory reporting requirements.

GLA Reports

Whole life carbon assessments (and circular economy statements) are required for all major developments in the GLA. Through undertaking both assessments the CE outcomes are used to reduce the WLCA and inform assumptions. We will work with the design team to review the design, assess and target hotpots to ensure the requirements are met.
